The sitting room with gas fire

Casa de Sueño is an ideal place for a longer stay in Javea out of high season. The villa is comfortable and well-equipped. It has full central heating and a gas fire for the cooler times of year. The naya (or covered terrace) is a great place to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and a leisurely meal. You can explore the landscaped gardens and find the suntraps and make the most of the mild winters. For cooler days and evenings, the partially glazed naya can be totally enclosed using the wind-down blinds with large window so you can look out over the illuminated gardens and pool. Even when the outside temperature is down to 15 degrees or less, you can still enjoy sitting outside enclosed in the naya where the temperature can still be over 20 degrees.

In Javea there are many things to keep you occupied for as long as you want to stay. Apart from the local scenery, cafes, restaurants and the many other places to visit, there are plenty of activities going on. You can choose from such things as a pub quiz night, computer club, painting and drawing classes, Spanish lessons, photography, holistic treatments, crafts, sports and many more besides.

If organised activities aren't your thing, you may want to research the Spanish property market. Javea is an ideas base to do this. We know because we hired a villa for the winter of 2005-6 and did just that!

Of course, you may just want a long relaxing break away from the colder, wetter British winter. There are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing throughout the winter and it's nice to be able to explore places when they aren't so busy as in the summer months.

Below are photographs taken during the winter of 2005-2006.
